Ok so this is my first time R-Jtagging. I have soldered everything but once i connect everything and i try to turn on the xbox the screen never turns on and there are 3 red lights that appear. So I have been testing different things so how i figured out how to get it to turn on successfully is by unattaching the Ribbon cable (I think thats what its called) from the Xecuter R-Jtag to the Xecuter PHAT POST QSB v2. If you need to know any more information please ask. The kernal is 15574 and its a Jasper 512MB.

Was the console working before you started: Yes

Do you get a green debug light appear on the RGH chip every 4-5 seconds: Y/N (not sure what this is)

and to answer your previous statements whenever i unplugged the ribbon qsb and started the xbox it would start up and i would be able to go to do anything previously

Beautiful! Stop right here, I will be sending a prepaid box. Please put in the console and the rjtag kit and protect it with shipping foams and send it to me. Hate to say this but your problem is right their in front of you.

Have you actually read the nand and wrote the ECC to get the key or have you just tried turning it on when everything is installed???

There is a lot more you need to read/understand first. Usually a good idea to know what you have to do BEFORE you attempt the install. The soldering is a mess. (obviously) qsb's are supposed to be soldered to the board that's how/why they were designed:smile: Your best bet is to send it out to someone for repair. Lots of good people here (request for service) I think a talk with your parents should come next as soon the console will be useless.

Any pics of the jtag qsb on the bottom of the board?

You have to do a bit more than just read the nand, it aint gonna boot with a stock nand and it all connected up.
but if i just read the nand and do nothing else will it still not boot... or is it cuz i have anything connected it wont boot?

If it is still stock nand, unhook the ribbon cable and it will boot up, that is if nothing is damaged

He's a hardware engineer?

I'm 22 years old and I can install the POST QSBs without any trouble at all.

Have you tried the bottom CPU_RST point?
just becouse youre an hardware engineer doesnt mean that you can solder :)

Soooo your saying if I only have read the nand and done nothing else and I unplug the ribbon qsb it should start up perfectly good... Cuz that's what's happening.
