yes m8, original nand dump had 1 error.....250 error reading block 357..

ive checked the cpu key and extracted the kv etc. checked the kv all looks good.... help :)
Alright, try this again. Use the link I gave you to download the files. Put the falcon.bin (12kb) file into the SMC folder within JTAG Tool (make sure JTAG tool isn't running at the time and best if you delete the old file rather than overwrite it). Compile freeboot.

Then use nandpro to remap that bad block .. If you tell me the bad block and where it is at I can give you the exact commands to how to do it.

Last, flash that freeboot image to your console ...

You should be able to see it in 360 flash tools. To use degraded, make a copy of your NAND dump (no need to risk the original) then load the copy into a HEX editor and change the bit that says (2004-2007) to (2004-2006) and you should be able to load it in degraded.

If you haven't got a HEX editor, I'd recommend (Hex Editor Neo 4.9) it's what I use personally.

k thanx for that......

bad block @ 0x357
block 0x357 found at 0x3ff

is this what u r after m8?
Yep, assuming your freeboot image is named 'freeboot.bin' here are the commands as follow:

>nandpro freeboot.bin: -r16 357.bin 357 1

This should create an output file named '357.bin

Next you need to write back that block to where the console expect's to find it:

>nandpro freeboot.bin: -w16 357.bin 3FF 1

Hope I got these right as I just wrote these from memory ;). Once done, use either JTAG tool or nandpro to write the whole freeboot.bin image to your console.

Well since xell worked it can't be the soldering or diodes ... Also confirm you changed the location of wiring for both ROL to AUDIO_CLAMP & DB1F1 to OPEN_TRAY signal?

The error will always show and stay there whenever you read or write to the NAND, the blocks are not physically removed they are remapped (told to hold data else where instead of bad area).

I think the key to this lays in the the NAND image / freeboot image ...

updating the SMC points after compiling freeboot won't work, this has been tested before by me, Azeem and others and is confirmed to only produce a black screen with centre green light on.

I've sent you a PM ...

It should boot into xell if you use the eject button, just try it few times. You can flash xell in my alt xell and smc pack if you need to and that will boot straight away as it's already modified to work with the alternative smc points.

If you need to Reflash the NAND and cannot boot into XeLLous, just use Flash360 instead ;)
