3 Red Lights

I got the 3 red lights last week and am pretty sure its as good as gone. I'm not even going to bother with the fixes because they are pretty much useless. If I decide to buy another one, what is the word on the core consoles? Do the core consoles have the error just as often as the premium? I remember reading that MS made an attempt on the Eite to fix the cause of the error, so should I wait until later when they replace the premium with the Elite? Any info would be appreciated.

its called a warranty from best buy or somewhere!

I tried the heat gun fix on my premium console 3-4 months ago and it worked for me and it is still going strong.
Give it a go you have nothing to lose unless it is still under warranty.

Yup I tried the heat gun method as well and got it working, hopefully it will stay this way. It's kind of pathetic when you have to go McGyver on your system just to make it last 6 months, and mine isn't even a launch console. I bought my Xbox 1 the day it came out and even that stills works fine.
