well I have a 250, and its half used up. Anyways, the bios needs to be configured correctly. The LBA48 (or however its spelled) option needs to be set to something like F DRIVE GETS EVERYTHING, or F DRIVE UPTO 137Gb G GETS THE REST. I dont know what they are exactly, but ask later when you get the hard drive and/or the mod.

f**king hell, I wish i could afford a 300gb h/d.... :p
Best Buy supposedly has them on clearance. Comes out to less than $100 after rebates. Hard part is trying to find a store that has them in stock.

I have found no size limits as of yet. I normally build Xboxes for people using the X3 chip with the current X3 bios and 200GB hard drives. Mine is using a 400GB drive. I beleive that is currently the largest available. I personally don't care much for Maxtor drives. They are louder, produce more heat and have higher failure rates. I normally use Seagates, but will also use WDs if I get a better price on them.

Right now I am building a v1.4 box with a WD 200GB drive.

Re: Don't Update 1/19/11

I will update, LT+ has ap failsafe they only updated ap on big titles but if you running lt+1.1 and not stupid enough to let the black screen boot up on these titles and let it reach the 3 min mark you should be safe enough and able to play other titles like moh and bad company 2 online, also no update is ever safe runing cfw.
