its lba48 that allows for the 2.2tb limit. x3 bios cant handle anymore than any other lba48 enabled bios.

oh and you better use a .67 version of lba48 wtih G, or use 32k clusters (xbpartitioner) to format F. a single partiton > 256gb will have corruption issues when its filled past 256gb if you use the standard formatting methods.

Lithium-ion Battery In 360 Controller

I dug out an old cell phone battery last night and soldered it into my controller, so far it is working great, it is higher voltage than the PnC battery pack so it should be able to power any color LEDs I put in it.

I have not tried charging it through the PnC cable but even if that does not work I left some extra slack on the wires so I can put it back in the phone to charge it without having to de-solder it

After about 20 minutes with the dremel the AA battery pack fits like it is stock

Re: Lithium-ion Battery In 360 Controller

Thanks Joe, as long as you don't over heat the battery with the iron shouldn't be anything wrong the controller can handle the 5v from USB so I know the 3.7v from the battery will not blow the controller. I just need to wait for the battery to drain so I can see if the play and charge cable will charge it.

Re: Lithium-ion Battery In 360 Controller

RDC over on xbox scene told me that trying to charge with the play and charge cable is a bad idea so I ordered this

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002MVQFMW/ref=oss_product

It looks small enough that I should be able to mount it in the battery pack and leave a USB port exposed for charging.
