it took me getting banned to make my first post lol.
originally, i had a 360, and after it had totally ripped up 2 Gears discs and my GRAW, it then done the red ring of death and died. I decided to get a flashed 360 so that i can play back ups.
I was recently banned.
although I still only played the official games, I got a flashed 360 so that if it chewed up my games I could play my back up.
so anyway, now I am banned I have 2 questions:
as I cannot get Live anyway, is it time that we just opened up this 360 proper and got it running all kinds of emulators? surely there is enough power there to easily emulate all the older consoles - including PS2.
Does anyone know if this is being worked on? I would love to be playing the original Double Dragon without being screwed for $8!
secondly, I was thinking about the banning. I am not a coder or haxxor but it sounds like once they believe you have been running back ups they ban the machine based on a serial-like code. couldn't we try and find out the serial-code they are using and then hack the 360 so that you can enter a new code or mask the old code - fooling Live?
sorry if both of these sound like stupid ideas. If so, please tell me why.
I love my 360 and I would love to have it running emus of other machines too and to get back on live.
(yes i knew all the risks to begin with but there is no reason to sit back and take it )
