360 Console Swapping Drives

This sort of overlaps two forums so I thought I would post in here.

I have two Slim 360's;
1x Matte Black - Non-Jtaggable - Drive non-flashable (unless kamikaze method used!)
1x Gloss Black - Jtaggable - flashable drive.

My idea,
1. Read dvd key from matte black console.
2. Read dvd key from gloss black console.
3. Flash the flashable slim drive with matte black dvdkey.
4. Install coolrunner to gloss black.
5. Edit nand to contain dvd key from matte black drive.
6. Swap the drives over so I have one jtaggable console and one flashable console.

I should then end up with a console which I can flash to an ixtreme firmware, and a console which has a jaggable motherboard.

Is this all ok? and if so the only part I am unsure on how to do is point 5. Is there software where I can edit the dvdkey in the nand easily?

You will need to use Kamikaze on the Matte black drive as, how are you going to find the DVD key otherwise?. Unless you can edit the nand to show the DVD Key which is actually on the Drive itself, but I'm not sure you can currently (if ever) do that.

Are you sure the Matte black one isn't expliotable?, Have you looked inside of it? (sorry lol, but I thought mine wasn't expliotable but then I found out that Hana chips where gone after a certain date).

If anything mate, I'm sure you'll have to Kami the matte black drive to get the key off.

you don't need to kamikaze to get the Dvd key you only need to kamikaze to write to the pcb

Kamikaze is to unlock your drive and write into it. It has nothing to do to get your keys. Also does your slim has a corona mobo? If not you can glitch it.

1 what fw is your matt. Do you have dummy?
If you dont have key, dummy and its not 0954 or 0272 you cannot inject key so stop now pal

Am guessing your matt vis a Corona mobo as you say you cannot rgh if this is the case your not going to retreive the key from it as you cannot rgh

Another flaw is you cannot edit patch kv2 so your not changing any keys anymore

But if you can rgh it and lets say its a 0401 0225 infact any fw just write your key to a 0954 and serial info and if you leave rgh it will work

But again thats is you can rgh your matt

Flash your gloss to lt+


If you have dummy and key fromm matt

1 unlock gloss drive
2 flash matt fw
3 rgh gloss

360 flash tool is the anwser you look for the software to edit the keyvault of a nand but rember as i said you cannot edit kv2
plus if you cannot rgh you cannot get cpu key to read your dump
If your dumping nands and flashing nands dump twwo or three times and compaire them be safe make a backup somewhere your not going to lose messup

Correct. Let's call the matte Corona and the Gloss Trinity. Trinity has a MXIC board as I gather from your story and the Corona has a Winbond.

So, let's go over it again.

First, get the dummy from the Corona.
Second, RGH the Trinity : Use Multibuild 0.3 to create the ecc. Once you have obtained your cpukey, edit the nanddump.bin using the 360 Flashtool by entering the Corona's dvdkey there.
Save the nanddump.bin and use Multibuild 0.3 again to create your nandflash.bin (which now will have the dvdkey of the Corona Winbond drive).

Put it back together (you can just swap over the entire drive if you like). Your Trinity is now RGH-ed and will work with the Winbond Corona drive.

Now, do the Sputnik hack to unlock your MXIC drive. Use the previously dumped dummy.bin to create an LT+ 2.0 firmware and flash that to your MXIC drive.
Put it back in your Corona and voila, you are are done.

Cheers dogeatdog, thats exactly the situation, just wanted someone to verify it. I shall have a look at the 360 flash tool to edit the dvdkey on the nand dump. Thanks

I have a fw dump from the matt drive containing the dvd key. I planned on performing rgh on the gloss and inserting this dvd key into the nand? hope this makes sense.

Kamazie your Matt or at least slimkey it save that flash lt or flash to replacement

Matt now done

you cannot edit nand dump without CPU key and if you cannot rgh Matt how you going to get key to extract kv

If you dump gloss nand and get CPU key you cannot edit anymore as they are kv2

Even if your on rgh you must have correct key flashed to drive it doesn't matter on fw but key yes

So your steps are as follows
1. Backup both dvd drive
2. Unlock Matt dvd or buy replacement PCB and flash lt
3. Rgh gloss

If you don't want to kamikaze pm me I do these and rgh you can send and ill sort or if close ill meet
