360 flashing

Ok im new to the flashing the 360 i have a general idea of how to do it but now im stuck ive made up the bootable usb drive using xtreme bootmaker and using latest version 5.2 of firmware i have an older ailenware cpu and cant get it to boot into dos with the flash drive ive unplugged all my drives and even went int cmos to tell it where to go but still nothing ive also tried nfts4dos and it says 16 bit subsystem applacation trying to access hard disk but failed it says retry and ingnore when i press any of the buttons it dissapears ive followed textbooks notes and videos to the T but im stuck any suggestions from the more expierenced modders out there that can help me or kind of walk me through it.

Have you updated the Alienware PC's motherboard to the most recent firmware? If not, I'd try that first.

If so, try to boot a different machine with your USB drive. If it works then your computer probably doesn't support booting from USB. If it doesn't work then it might be your USB drive, not all drives are bootable.

now im trying to figure iut how to enable jit cause now it wont detect my sata card in the xtreme boot maker program

now i dont understand why nfts4dos worked the first time i used it now its not a screen pops up 16 bit subsystem program is trying to access hard disk but cant initalize of failed then it gives a value of zero does any one know how to correct this?

I was wandering if it is possible to us ms prompt on the xp start menu to flash the 360 wouldnt that work the same?

Simple answer is no



it's not the ideal way but have you tried booting from floppy disk also download the lates tutorial
