360 lcd screen mod

OK guys I was sitting thinking what else I could add to my rghed 360 and I came accrosed the LCD screen mod and I want to wire the LCD straight to the motherboard instead of cutting a 360 component cable and I can't seem to find a tut on how to wire it up to the mb anyone got a direct link or any help on this subject

If you was plugging the xbox into a lcd screen wouldn't it be better to use a hdmi cable? Why do yo want to solder the cable to board? Just curious?

Is this for some kind of portable xbox project? What kind of LCD screen is it? if it is an old laptop screen for example you will need a separate control board for the screen.

i am wanting o do this mod and i am wanting to wire the lcd screen straight to the MB instead of having a cord stuck out of the back of my xbox that i would have to unplug to hook the component cord to my tv

In that case yer, you will need some kind of control board, cause on laptops the interpretation of what it meant to show on screen is done onboard, not in the actual screen i believe.

Hit up njytouch or nyjtouch on ebay cant remember the exact name of them. They can make you a control board for it. I'm doing a similar mod very soon.

That build was done by a guy named ozzylow.. the website he posted info on has been down for some time now. The screen is a tft lcd screen. Its a 7inch screen from ebay. China seller. The pin outs for the audio and video on The bottom of the mobo might be on the web. I can check for them 2morrow. Go ahead and do a google search. You should find something on the build.. controller board not needed..

You are correct that for the mod with the 7inch tft screen the external control board is not needed, however, this is because the control board is build in and the av ports are connected already. But the OP mentioned that he was using an old laptop screen, which would require the control board.

Correct. I think you can get one for like $30 on ebay. Been meaning to do this myself with a couple extra screens I have

Tft screen is less than 30 bux.. simplifies the whole process. Op needs to go on flea bay and get one. Ive made at least 8 of em.. thanks ozzylow.. where ever u are.
