hi all i was wondering about playback of media threw the 360 i have a laptop with the most basic vista and a desktop with xp i want to play mpg files threw the 360 i just flashed my 78fk some one told me their is a way to play avi and outher types that windows reads with the flashed firmware and burning them to a disc also some one told me that i can make dual partitons and make one of them wmc i was just wondering the best way to play media i know it plays wma but even when i convert it it sti looks bad thanks for ne1 who helps i would like all the options on things i can do because i hate hooking up my tv to my pc looks sh*ty

There's a free ZUNE application from Microsoft that allows your XP desktop to act as a media center to stream audio and video to your XBOX 360. Go to Microsoft's website for the XBOX and you will find that free download. After you have your PC setup, go to your XBOX 360 media page and select "PC". If you have networked your PC and XBOX, it should detect the running ZUNE application on your PC. You will have to set up ZUNE to point to the folders on your PC that have your MP3s or avi's.
