360 mod with ms28 drive

Hi all new to this forum but looks the dogs from what Iseen, I trying to do my 1st mod on a ms28 drive followed the tut to the word go to the part where I boot from usb stick type xread and then mt serial num it see,s the xtreme sata drive but when I turn 360 off wait 10 secs an back on nothing happens, tried it many times still no joy, I am using my onboard sata connection by the way and am stuck bigstyle any of you nice peeps out there help me out?????

1. Did you use "bad flash" checkbox on the latest Xtreme Boot Maker?
2. Did you use "Boke's patch", in Xtreme Boot Maker?

is the SATA chipset on your motherboard a VIA chipset? You can only do the bad-flash recovery method with a VIA chipset.

If you dont have one this one should do just fine.

yes done both of them m8, and my onboard sata is intel based dunno if it via, below is a pic of what I get in extreme boot maker.

you need a VIA chipset, that pic you posted is a intel chipset and wont work with the MS28, unless you do the VCC method which is VERY risky. Just buy the 10 dollar SATA card.

hello there does any one know how to flash the ms 28 back to its original firmware i got the original in a flopy, but dont know how to do it. also can i use a flashed ms 25 drive insted of my ms 28??
