360 mod with system link

hello there queistion i have 2 xbox 360 1 modded and the other one not.. i bought a 360 game and made a backup of ,, i try to play the game thruw system link and it will not let me play cant find sesion or it tell me the game need to update the title thruw xbox live ,, and help.. thanks,,,
