I'm looking to pick up a slim 360 (the original slim) for running games and DLC off the HDD and possibly trying out Xlink Kai. Looking for info is a bit overwhelming for me since 360 modding doesn't seem to be as straightforward compared to softmodding the original Xbox. Is even going back to the older models a good option? Should I go JTAG or RGH?

if your in the us I have a slim rgh console w/ all wires and controller for 120 including shipping.
Still needing help, having a somewhat difficult time really figuring out both JTAG & RGH. Would this dual nand thing be beneficial if I wanted to play regular XBLA?
Jtag hack can only be performed on old phat consoles, the great boot times are not worth the risk of getting a nice RRoD. Nowadays some glitchips can achieve really stable and fast boot times.
Dual nand is absolutely needed in order to play on XBL, no matter the kind of hack you choose
