When you say you flashed with the serial number that cannot be possible. Do you mean you flashed the new MS25 drive using the drive key of your original drive?

Anyway, in order to use a OEM drive bought of Ebay (guessing you bought one from a guy in China:) cos i did. You need to obtain the original drive fw (orig.bin) and copy the key from it into another orig.bin (google team Modfreaks for it) or a hacked fw, such as Extreme52c.bin for example and flash that.

I think you missed the point there. You need the original bin to extract the key from it, and then you feed that into the bin file from your new m25 and update the firmware as normal.

Read Hanz's post again dude. I don't think I could make it simpler than he has already.
In short, you need to extract the key from the broken ms25's bin file using the Modfreakz application called 360 Firmware toolbox and feed it into the new ms25's bin file.
You should be able to flash your drive again. It's not trash.
