So I bought a slim system only from ebay a few months ago to replace my broken slim. The console I got plays games just fine and its warranty seal is still sealed and doesnt look to have ever been opened up. The odd thing is that the disc drive will stop opening and shutting at random and im able to get it to start working again by simply using a paper clips and opening it manually once. After I do that the drive works fine for a few days and open and shuts just fine. It will randomly just not open after a few days and I have to repeat the paper clip thing to get it to function again. The drive Seems to work perfectly and open and closes fine right after I do a manual eject but after a few days it stops again. Also when it stops working the drive make no attempt to try to eject the tray, they light blinks and the guide says openeing tray. Its not the belt slipping issue from what I can tell. This one has me stumped. Any idea what is causing this? I don't undertand why a manual eject would fix it for awhile.
