Did the rgh and it worked fine but one of the points near the resistor/HANA chip kept coming loose so I kept soldering it back down, then all of a sudden it won't boot, LEDs don't light up and the fan won't start but the power and eject buttons still work with sounds. Thought I messed up the trace so I had a real helpful user called nightowl fix the trace for me but sadly had the same problem. If my NAND corrupt could it cause the symptoms my slim is showing? Or is there anything else I can try or check?

Thx for everyone's help with this problem

The console will return to me tomorrow, I will then flash back the original NAND and remove the coolrunner and see what the result is. I sent the console to user n1ghtowl a d he said the trace is fixed

In the future use a QSB and if you have trouble soldering QSB, then STOP you have failed the test don't go any further. IF you can't solder a QSB then you need to have a pro do this mod for you, these boards are really pretty easy solder in.

Your trace is still messed up - send it to someone for repair.
Martin c what fee am I looking at for the repair? don't want to end up with not being repairable and be more money down

In the future use a QSB.
I did use a qsb and this is the 9th console I have done this week, no trouble with the other ones, just that damn pad near the hana chip was being a bastard

Most including me offer a no-fix no fee. If it's a trace which has been pulled or a resistor is blown, it's a simple enough repair job.
Sounds good, what's the price including all the p&p, I can post it Thursday morning

Just for future reference if a resistor near the hana chip has blown where can I get a replacement and what resistor is required? Thx

Just for general info its a 33ohm SMD resistor but standard resistor of the same value will work just fine.
