1 - A UK Crystal X-Box dated 2004-09-02 (Y-M-D, presumably) and manufactured in China would probably be 1.6b, right?

2 - Are there any physical difference between a 1.6 install and a 1.6b install for an X3 chip?

3 - Anyone know how to get the stickers off the screw-holes without completely destroying them?

4 - EDIT: Found out.

1. I had an Xbox dated 2004-9-2 (Bought at Dixons - UK) and it was NOT a 1.6B. It had Samsung RAM, and a Phillips Drive.

2. No

3. As Dark_Fox says....Get a real sharp pointed knife, rub the sticker around the screw hole with your finger until you get an indent, then carefully cut this indent out. It actually looks quite proffessional if you take your time......

Xbox 360 Secondary Error 0021 HELP!!!!! $$REWARD if you help

Okay, so here is my story:
I was modding my Xbox 360 Xenon and used 2 12v power sources, both coming off these black squares. One 12v fan mod for the back 2 fans and another for a 12v fan on top of the extended GPU heatsink. Everything was going fine until I decided to test the connections of the solder and wiring one last time before putting it all back together( I tested it before). I turned the console on and after 5 seconds there was a sequence of 4 sparks in a matter if milliseconds. These sparks came from behind the video output, probably from some 4 small boxes. BOOM RROD!!!!! The light on the power brick was still green but the Xbox 360 had the RRoD. This might have also happened because I had my DVD drive(lite-on unflashed) disconnected for about 10 minutes but that's probably not the cause. So far, I let the Xbox 360 overheat, changed the compound to AS5 and tightened, loosened my screw mod. Can anybody help me with my problem or suggest what I do. If someone helps me successfully fix it I will give them a reward$(literally).

Re: Xbox 360 Secondary Error 0021 HELP!!!!! $$REWARD if you

Well from your error code I think it is:
Unconfirmed: This can be caused by two completely different things either:
A. DVD Drive Time out - Can be caused by problems with a firmware flash. This is also speculated to sometime be caused by a problem with the southbridge chipset on the motherboard based on how it connects to the DVD drive.
B. GPU error, generally caused by a poor connection to the mainboard (cold solder joints/bridged solder joints) See error E18 for more information

Thats the explanation for 0021.

Though, those sparks really make me think that you seriously messed up your xbox and it seems like you probably shorted something out. Get a picture of your solder job and I can see if perhaps you bridged something.

Re: Xbox 360 Secondary Error 0021 HELP!!!!! $$REWARD if you

I am not a noob at soldering and I am sure I did not bridge anything. I think that this is a hardware error or I overloaded my motherboard with the two voltage sources. I also think that it is because I connected the fans (12v combined) with a 12v source so it overloaded or something. I am also open for ideas on a way to receive a new one or replace my Xbox 360 console for free. I was thinking of getting another console and replacing the console with yellowpages and blame it on a worker at the store.

Honestly, the sparks tell me that you probably fried something. I mean I don't really know why you took power from the mosfets if you could have just jumped two points or took power from a point near the power plug. There are numerous tutorials that follow these methods and are proven to work well.

Re: Xbox 360 Secondary Error 0021 HELP!!!!! $$REWARD if you

I just took out my multimeter and looked for sources and ended up using the mosfets as a reliable source. I know that repairing the board will be a pain in the A** so can anybody be decent enough and maybe sell me a Mobo with the DVD PCB(BenQ or Lite-On)

Also, I'm still a noobie at the forums so can you tell me where I can go here to sell my box full of Xbox 360 parts like heatsinks, RF boards, DVD drives, etc.?
