Console: Corona V6
Nand Size: 4GB

I got xell to boot and when i tryed to wite my udpflash its saying its not a removable media? My computer says i have something in my "I:" SD Port and in j-runner it shows the device but it does not say removable. How to fix this? Until i can make it removable media all this console can do is boot xell, no original nand or freeboot nand

I have done that yes, What is the correct way to do it? I have tryed both.
Connect the PSU to your console, set the switch on the adapter to R/W, connect your SD card reader (connected to the adapter) to your computer.

Windows will ask you if you wan to format the drive - make sure you click "No".

Just tryed it and does not work. No message pops up and no ding sound on my computer saying a device is connected. Its like nothing happened
It did that BEFORE i wrote my ecc to the console though and i rememer it comeing up with that message asking if i wanted to format. The console was writing and reading fine before i wrote the ecc to it :/

If you have removed ribbon cable after writing .ecc then i would suggest reinserting it and making sure it's in there because it might not be in right

are you running windows 8 by chance? I had that issue where it wouldn't recognize at all.. Just keep putting the computer to sleep and waking it back up, then re-insert the card each time it wakes up until it detects. It will work after a few tries. If not, shut it down and come back to it tomorrow, works every time for some reason, lol

I have tryed multiple times witch my RGH laptop Windows 7 and multiple times with my personal laptop windows 8. Soldering is solid. Is there a way i could have fried the adapter? Think i need to buy a new one or sit on it and try again tomorrow?

Yeah, walk away and try it tomorrow, it should work. I have to do all that crap to get the card to be detected every time I rgh a 4 gig. No idea why, but it always works the next day.

I have successfully RGH'd two 4GB Corona's and it is never a smooth process for me. JRunner likes to give me an error about "synchronous actions". Whenever this happens, I close JRunner and reopen, and it works. Also, I sometimes had trouble with My PC recognizing my SD Card (4GB Adapter), and sometimes with it not detecting it as removable media. I got around this by removing and reinserting the card. You don't have any other unnecessary drives plugged in, do you? I.E. USB flash drives? make sure only the essential, non-removable drives are hooked up (your internal hdd's).

As hershey247 suggested, make sure the ribbon cable is inserted correctly on both ends, and not underneath the QSB by accident. Also, if you have a multimeter (and you should, everyone should), test continuity from one side to the other, and by that, I mean from your QSB solder points (or points on the underside of the motherboard, if you can find them) to the end of the adapter on the side that plugs into your PC, make sure you have a solid connection all the way down the line, try to rule out all possible variables that could be getting in your way.

The main solution here is persistence, it will work, just keep trying by shutting down/restarting and inserting/removing.

It worked once for you, it will work again....
