Hey guys so I got my DVD key by RGH'ing my slim. It is a trinity with a DG-16D5S drive. I bought a DG-16D4S replacement PCB so I could flash it with the DVD key and LT3.0 and change the KV on the xbox to have a 4S drive.

Well I got Christmas lights... I heard the type 2 KV are hashed? So there's no way around it? I basically bought a 4S replacement for nothing? or do I have to wait for the 5S replacement PCB and FW and flash the 5S FW to the 4S replacement PCB?

Just did 2 hours of work for nothing if I cannot flash the 4S replacement for my xbox and lost $70.

Did some more reading.. I guess I'll have to wait for the 5S FW to come out then flash that with my key to the drive and just not touch the KV...

Can I get someone to confirm this?

If you want to keep rgh just flash your key to the 16d4s and you will be fine

If you plan to remove rgh you have to wait for 16d5s PCb

If you want to play on live then you'll have to wait for 1175 f/w and the new unlocked PCB.
What made you think you could just throw any LT3 fw on a 4S PCB with your key and it would work?. If that was the case, They wouldn't have needed the new PCB in the first place right?, If its going to stay RGH then I'm pretty sure you can use the No Fcrt patch and it'll work with the PCB.

you'll also find that you can't just use that key if you don't have it RGH'd , you need to get a full proper firmware dump of the original drive

Who told you led you to believe this would work??
