ANSWERED 500gb WD data error redundancy check

hope you guys can help

i have a WD 500gb blue scorpio drive that i want to use in my jtag

band new drive formated in jtaged console

then i install all of the programs

but when i come to using party buffalo to put games on it i get

Encountered an error trying to delete entry.The error is as folows data error (cyclic redundancy check)

very confused as im using my oem 250gb hard drive and everything is working fine on that and it was setup in the same way

i no what im doing works as i also have a 250gb oem xbox hard drive that works fine with all my games and dlc and xbla stuff


is there a special way that i need to format the 500gb ?

Where are you trying to put it in a Jtag or retail 360 ?

In simple terms this is related to your HDD and nothing to do with the JTAG:

1. Possibly HDD has faulty sectors

2. HDD is not compatible (even though most unlikely) most 2.5" HDD will work with 360 JTAG's but there are odd few ones out there that wouldn't work properly.

Try the HDD on your PC and see if you can fill it with data with no issues, also see if you can get a different big HDD to install on your JTAG and try it.

Nope you just format the 500gb drive in the Jtagged XBOX and you're good to go i never used that Party Buffalo Drive Explorer so i don't know anything about it if i use anything to Transfer its ether FTP straight to the hdd or 360 xplorer with the Xecuter hdd adapter and never had issues with dlc or any thing for that matter.
