Also, are you able to answer my question about the programmer - am I physically and technically able to use it while the modchip is still soldered to the board?
am i technically able to answer question about something i designed ??? lol

why dont you actually look at the programmer tutorial and see for yourself how it works ?

i also suggest nxt time when you flsh any mod - mak sure you have a recovery option on there (like FlashBios)

yeah your dvdrom is probably going to blow up

btw - from the bio readme file - just fyi

the bios's always have bugs - if you are worried about smoke coming out of your xbox then i can only suggest waiting a few weeks after a release to see what everyone else says about it.

I am aware of this, as I had said earlier I'm not blaming anyone. There's no need to patronise me. But I appreciate you wasting your time doing it. Well done.

im thinking there is a bug with the disablecdboot hack but i cant duplicate it on my v1.0 or v1.6 - im going to need more feedback and confirmations and in the BUG REPORTS forum !
Cool. I shall do that. Can you explain to me how the disablecdboot hack should work - should it be looking for something on the disc that it isn't going to find, or is it more complex than that?

I know with previous BIOS files, I just used to just set the DVD default.xbe file to a random string in order to stop CDs/DVDs from booting. I was wondering what technique is used here.

we simple tell it not to autoboot from d

thats kinda it.

im not patronising you - but you came across like you were complaining and we always state clearly that there may always be bugs - but we do work hard to hammer them out.

I placed the word 'stupid' in quotes as sort of a want for a better word.
Also my reply is in direct relation to this thread, so yes the option to swap HDD's is not available.

I'll retract my use of 'stupid' and allow you to insert whatever word you see fit.

There was and never will be any hostility given to any person in this forum through my replies.
