Ok well here is my friggin problem...god i want to just chuck the damn xbox out the window and smash it...i go ahead and flash my v1.0 xbox no problem...i have a fully modded xbox...then i decide to put x2_5031_vOld_512k on my Xbox's TSOP...i converted it from 512k to a 1mb bios. so i flashed it and everything was good, then i reboot my xbox and i get NO video and NO sound...the xbox doesnt frag however....so i take the hdd i just recently install and put it into another xbox and it boots up perfectly fine...i dont know what the issue is here...i did put the stupid x2 config file in the E and F drive like it said to in the instructions and now im here....anyone got any freakin bright ideas?? im one step from pulling my hair and taking a gun to the xbox....

PS - ive tried to reflash my bios with X2_4983 1mb blindly with another hard drive so that possible solution wont work

Maybe you can use a modchip to boot the box, the disable it right after the flubber is gone. Now try to flash your box.
I had the same problem here with an other bios. I took a smartxx lite, booted it , removed it and flashed the bios.

Thank god it worked.
PS: now i only use the smartxx, looks cool with a lcd and never have any problem flashing wrong

Try disconnecting the Disc-Drive and just boot with the HDD only. That's should work, basically it's a busted DVD drive if it works. I have the same problem. After I installed the new bios, My dvd drive doesn't work anymore. So I went back to one of the older bios, and the dvd drive still doesn't work.

when you boot up your box what colour is the eject button led?

use the standard a/v cable that came with the box if you're not already doing so

Earth for the time being
I dont think this bios can be made into 1mb ,without using another bios as well (M8 or 4983).
As i ftp'ed the bios across with all relavant files (ini) then flashed using evox & got no video\sound or boot up flubber..
I first thought it maybe because i have an extender kit installed...but i removed the chip reprogrammed it with Bank1 4983.06 - Bank2 X2_5032..
Works absolutely fine..
So it either does'nt like to be made 1mb or Evox cant flash it properly..

Also did you not read this in the readme
"And no this bios cannot be split in half to be 256k and flashed to TSOP
If you find a way to do it pls send an email to [email protected] - thanks"

Not sure how yaa gonna reflash the tsop..
my mate did this & had to havit removed reprogrammed then re-soldered,a task not for most of us..

He did not split it in half to make a 256k bios. He made it into a 1Mb file before he flashed his TSOP. Just so you know 1.0 xboxes have 1Mb of space for the TSOP, whereas all others have only 256k.

If you have a v1.0 there is nothing to stop you flashing your TSOP with x2 5032
