RGH 512 Jasper Nand Protection?

I am about to do a 512 Jasper when coolrunners are back in stock in the UK. I haven't done a big block before (neither jtag or rgh) and I'm sure I read ages ago about people saving to the onboard storage and it knackering their jtag.

I think that there was some kind of fix where you removed one of the blocks from the nand? Which made the onboard storage show up as unformatted or something, so nobody could save to it by accident.

Does anyone have any input on this, or can point me to some relevant info?

Thanks

You don't even need to format it TBH.

I've done about a dozen BB Jaspers with storage used. You're only supposed to be reading/writing to the 1st 64MB so the MU area it's affected in any way, shape or form.
