I basially need to know if I have done it write, I used a bit of wire casing.

Should I use some eletrical tape?

I have put it over the bit that juts out near the "Backup" labelled component, do i need to do anything else to stop it shorting out.

I know I have asked this before but thanks for any help.

I dont think the x3 chips need to be insulated. I think the insulation was only needed for xecuter chips before x3

He's talking about the alt 5v pin on the x3 chip. Yes go ahead and
put some elec. tape on the pin also, too much insulation is better
than not enough.

On the pin also?

The ALT 5V feed I have wrapped in some electrical tape, is there anywhere else, if so can you specify?

Thanks.

On the pin also? - I was refering to the ALT 5V that's the same on that you
are talking about. Once you have that insulated you should be fine.
The only other thing that "some ppl" ( by some ppl, i mean not everybody)
do is to put the big sticky pad (#6 in the kit) on the back on x3 just incase
you are afraid the dvd "may" come in contact with the top of the x3. This
is just an option, do it if you want to.

So I don't need to deal with any of the pins on the xapt3r or anything?

Just follow the install tut and you will be fine.
