@.6ce with 1.0. scrolling screen

I had a hd die in my xbox, so i installed the 2.6 chip, replaced with a 80 gig hd, and booted up to see what happens. I get a screen thats scrolling up and down like the vertical sync almost is messed up, i can see in the background where it says flashbios 3.x or something.

When i turn the chip off, it boots up and says it needs service,but the video is fine, what did i do wrong?

try other bios bank on chip(bank 2 or 1)

What video cables are you using?

Tried switching the bank switch , same thing.

Using the normal yellow white red cable that came with the xbox. Do i need a different one?

The cables i am using are yellow red and white rca cables,

Any ideas?

Is there an error number in the screen? I would look around for solder splashes. What method did you use to rebuild the LPC?

I dont see any error codes but its scrolling too fast , so it could be one .

I bought a svideo cable same thing happening

Since you are getting flashbios in the background, you should be able to flash the bios, even though you can't really see what is going on. Download X2 5035 from Xbins, and extract it. Follow the flashbios tutorial in my sig and make a CD or DVD. You will probably have to use a CD-RW if you don't have a DVD burner. Hit down twice, and wait for the drive to open. Then insert your DVD/CD and close the drive. It should flash the bios on the chip. Then flip the chip to bank 1, and see what happens.
