I have been reading that if you update the dash to kernel 12611 via freeboot and remove the R6T3 resistor you will receive an e80 error. I am about to jtag an xbox and I would like to only update to 9199 as I will not be going online with this console. But the Freeboot toolbox seems to be the same for both updates. I was just wonder if I have to download a certain version for it to work also will I have any trouble downgrading if the R6T3 resistor is removed. Any feedback would be much appreciated

First off, you can update to 13599 which is the newest version. Also, I never heard of removing the R6T3 resistor causing any problems for updating freeboot. It WILL cause problems if you try to update to the official Microsoft Dashboards since they try to burn your efuses. Freeboot does not burn fuses. Just use JTAG Tool to build your Freeboot nand.

yes, have you considered downloading JTAG tool and looking at it and the options?
