FIXED 9504/0272 question

I have a 9504 drive and I'm trying to build 0272 firmware for an LTU pcb but there doesn't seem to be any firmware for it, is that drive not supported for that firmware I thought it was universal. I guess it doesn't support the 9504/0272 drives? So I would need an LT 1.1 pcb then right.

and the correct firmware for an LT 1.1 pcb would be LT plus 0272?

Damn I'm so confused trying to keep track of all of these different firmwares and pcbs.

Save the LTU PCB for a 16D5S drive.Use a 16D4S drive/PCB for this and the correct FW would be LT plus 0272(assuming that you are on DB 13146 or higher).

yes I'm now using the LT 1.1 pcb with LT plus 3.0 0272, I think this ought ta do it thanks alexander

uggh this damn drive refuses to read a disk at all. I've tried like 3 different pcbs, one with an original dump of the drive, and two LTU pcbs with the correct firmware, and multiple lasers and it continuously is throwing up unrecognized discs.

It's RGH'd so I know the DVD key is right, I don't know what else it could be. Maybe the spindle is jacked or something.

No it's not the spindle, just replaced that and it's still doing the same thing, disc unrecognized.

figured it out there was a small nick in the spindle ribbon cable
