This is a follow up post from an earlier one I had where I had problems with flashing a drive.
Let me recap what I've done so far. Had a slim without a drive, installed Coolrunner am running unit as a RGH unit on 14699. I had multiple slim drives that had been disassembled (not by me). I pieced together a drive, and got an MXIC board and installed a Sputnik360. I got the DVD key from Xell and used the LizFix method (without the hardware numbers, only the key), and could only get it to flash as a 9504 with LT Plus. When I say could only get it to flash as a 9504, I was getting authorisation and write verify failed errors when trying as a 0225 or 0272, I'm assuming because I didn't have a legit dummy.bin?
So I popped the drive into my unit, booted it up to test. I got an original game to play (Skyrim), an audio CD, and Splinter Cell Conviction backup, but when trying Gears of War 2 backup, it would not read. I'm assuming this because it requires LT 3.0. However, there is no 3.0 for 9504 drives because they have been updated to 0272, correct? How can I get the drive to update to 0272? Can I do this in Jungleflasher? Do I have to run a dashboard update on the unit with the drive hooked up, if so, how do I do that without losing my RGH (or do I need to rehack it)?
