LITEON 9504 9504 Drive (Successful Kamikaze) Won't Eject

I successfully unlocked/flashed/locked the drive using the kamikaze method. However, now the drive will not eject, and seems as if it is not powering on at all. Whenever I connect the drive, it shows up and I can read, unlock, flash, etc. Any ideas?

You probally went to far using kamikaze hack and if your drive does not eject then you need a new drive. I thought most 9504 were mxic?

Sounds like you drilled too far. you can try the pout trick and see if that helps you.is the drive spinning the disks ?

I did a few 9504's and all were Winbond.

OP, Did you try turning the system completely off and back on, remove power. Try ejecting with the controller.

The first Kamikaze mod I did it didn't eject with the button but I turned it off and back on and never had the issue again.

Thanks for the replies. I assumed the worst but Im going to try the pout trick. If nothing else I'll buy one of those unlocked pcbs. Just gotta pick up a resistor from RadioShack.

I tried rebooting the console as well as reflashing with the same problem. And no it does not spin the disk.

if i read right get 62 and 68 ohms try 68 first as it just the speed of the drive on eject.

if it does not spin the disc the pout trick wont fix it as its only designed to fix eject issues only looks like you drilled to far and will need to replace the pcb

like i said, i'm assuming the worst. thought i'd give it a try before i throw in the towel. Radioshack is closed for today though so i'll try tomorrow.

Well i can tell you this if its completely dead and JF is not picking it up the pout fix is not going to do it fez, the pout fix is only for if the drive does not open but still plays a disc when you put one in manually.

i understand. it does pick it up though. it recognizes it as if it was working perfectly. i can read and flash like normal.

But if you open the eject tray manually and put in a disc will it plat it ?
