LITEON 9504 9504 with USBpro - jungleflasher wont detect drive

I might be new to this forum, but im not new to team xecuter hardware or xbox modding.

However, this is my first attempt at slim modding. Ive always stayed on the phat side of things, but decided to pony up and grab a kit from xconsoles.com.

That kit included:
x360usb pro
slim unlock kit
ck3i
molex power adapter
probe 3

And then i ordered a few sputnick probes in case i had to mod the PCB of the drive once i got the drive out.


So, here i am. I have the drive out, the ck3i hooked up to the dvd drive giving it power ( not in mode b )

I have the 360pro hooked up via usb. Drivers are installed, and its running firmware 18.

Im on windows 7 64bit.

I hook it all up, test the drive out to see if its got power.. it ejects just fine.

I open jungleflasher, it recognizes the usb pro, but sees NO DRIVE.

This is right out of an unmodded 360. It has the newest firmware update, so its not a 9504 anymore.. im assuming its a 0272.

Shouldnt JF still detect the drive? What am i doing wrong? Do i have to solder the sputnik on prior to even being able to detect the drive?

I thought i could hook the drive up, detect it, read the stock firmware and save the key.

Then, solder the sputnik, unlock the drive, and flash to 3.0

Someone help. All this new modding stuff and i cant even get it to detect the drive from step 1.

You dont have to modify the drive at all for jungle flasher to see it and for you to extract the key!

what JF are you running /did you try to refresh I/O port .usbpro/ck3i drives are installed correctly

why did you get a few sputnik probes? you should only need one.

I got a few probes since i mod xbox's pretty frequently. Im doing my slim as a test run then doing a few others after.

Im running the newest jungleflasher 1.92 beta 304.

I ticked and unticked the usb only box, nothing happened.

It litterally shows no drive at all, but the 360 pro and ck3i show power, i can eject the drive tray, etc.

I even tried messing with portio64sys until i remembered that the reason i got this new kit is because it should work with any OS basically, without much driver intervention ( aside from installing usb360 ).

All drivers and files im using i got directly from the usbpro website links.

I also just installed the ck3i drivers ( didnt know they existed ) but its really only there for power right ?

I tried rebooting with everything plugged in and on so that it gets detected from the start.

I also tried unplugging everything while the os is up and running and rehooking everything up and restarting JF to see what gives.

Kinda scratching my head at this point. Right now i got 150 bucks worth of modding gear sitting here being worthless.

Check my post, just did that to my drive, had the same problem as you, and took me a few tries to get the unlocked tx pcb to be recognized, reboot your computer. and connect the ck3i upside down red facing up, then the x360pro , make sure all your firmwares are updated and installed on the xusb360 and ck3i, then refresh on mtk flash 32, and intro, swithc ck3i off, then 3 sec, switch on, and after tha click on write.

I tried rebooting a few times, etc. Nothing.

I tried a few new usb ports, presto!. Drive detected! 0272 though :/

Oh well.. Here goes nothing..

Thanks guy. Great forum, quick responses. I think im going to dig it here.

i had the same problem, as i have a 64-bit pc.Jungleflasher couldn't install portio64.sys driver.I pressed F8 before windows logo appeared and I disabled driver signature enforcement.Then all went well.

And this is exactly! why i got the usbpro. No drivers really needed. Now i can slap what i need on a memory stick, pack this and my ck3i and molex up, along with a small toolkit, and im mobile.

Love it. Great great great hardware. The JF interrogation is awesome. I also am digging the switch so i can unlock / lock.

But, should i leave it unlocked on the switch ( sputnik probe ) ? Will that set off a flag for MS to possible ban the console? I know you can lock it from JF, but does it really lock it?

Id like to leave it unlocked so that if i have to update in the future, i dont have to take the drive apart, but if so, oh well.

Mod still works great. Sputnik is super easy to use, but my soldering was a bit rusty. Hard to get the solder to jump from the tip to the board, even with tons of flux. Almost used some super short wires, but came through.
