A bug I have been noticing

I think this bug has started happening around 2.2 or 2.3 firmware. Today this happened using 2.4

Today I tried to launch NBA Jam through NXMame and I got a black error screen. I rebooted the system and both my boot.dat and license were gone from my sd card.

Also, every once in a while my license just disappears from my sd card and I have to retrieve it when I boot up my Switch. This does not happen a lot, but it has happened 3 or 4 times. Nothing else is ever missing from the sd card. It is always the license and or the boot.dat.

Anyone else have this issue?

That is very strange..... I immediately want to blame a faulty or corrupt file system. Are you using exFAT? Have you tried copying your data off, then reformatting the SD card?

I have not tried reformatting just because I have about 200gb of storage on it and I havent had the time to transfer any of it. Although I think I will do this today as I should probably have a backup of everything on the sd card anyways.

I thought the card could be the issue but the files are always only the boot.dat and license. Why only those if the card is the issue? I am using exFat .

I will post back in here if the problem happens again after I reformat the sd card.


Today was the first time the boot.dat went missing on its own. The license disappearing has been the most recurring issue.

Thanks, I will test it out. I will also see if I can catch this happening on video before I reformat the card.
