A couple questions about flashing NAND

I bought a JR Programmer with USB-SPI to plug into my motherboard FALCON to flash my NAND.

Now couple questions,
I only have a copy of the NAND from the modded version before the bad NAND flash as I bought this console from someone and they never gave me the orignal NANDs
Will that be an issue? Or do i run a program like Jrunner and upload that modded NAND and boom everything should work again?
I have a Matrix 1.2 glitch chip in so I shouldnt need to reprogram it at all would I?

And last question since I did all this to fix the console desynching every 5 miuntes im sure the issue will come back so I have a stock FALCON xbox running on 16xx could i use the chip and just install it on this spare xbox

You may very well need to reprogram the glitch chip if you updated the console from RGH to RGH 2 or 1.2 - upload pics of the wiring and we will help you identify the mod (I think the easiest way to check would be on the rear of the board and whether the wire is soldered to FT6U1 which is RGH or FT6U7 RGH1.2). If you dont need to change wiring it may be as simple as loading the nand into JRunner and creating a new nand

This conversation is spread out across multiple threads now. @op stop opening new thread for every minor question. People dont get the full picture, and it wastes everyones time. @everyone else To recap, The glitch chip wiring isnt a problem, as from the other threads, this all started because the console was dumping the connection to the controller, but would boot fine. As a thought, thinking there might have been a corrupted block in the smc causing this, I asked him to dump the image using xell and check it for bad blocks and report back with the log. the op saw a bad block, decided to follow some guide on he found on google and tried to manually remap them, even though when he reported back with the information, it was one message about a bad block, close to the end of the nand, and a message about how that block was already remapped to the end of the nand. So when he wrote back his modified image, it bricked the console, and now it wont boot xell, for him to write back the image he dumped in the first place that at least booted.

All that being said, from what was reported, the console is an rgh1.2 with a matrix chip. He said dashlaunch reports it as an RGH2, but the wiring in the pictures in the other thread from what I could tell looking at the chip is RGH1.2.

To answer the questions in this thread. Start by getting the console back to a bootable point, by writing the image you know works back to the nand. If you want to scrap this console all together, and install the chip in the other one. that is up to you. You will still have to solder in the nand reader, and do that process, and then transfer the chip to the other console, and then retweak the timing file on the chip itself to get the optimal boot times. Also, if you havnt done this before, and short the CPU_PLL_BYPASS point, then chances are you burn the cpu the moment you turn it on. So if you decide to do this, then make sure you do it right, before you plug it in. I would suggest seeing if you can get the console that is modded already to boot, and then taking the ROL board from the other one if you have to.

Thanks for the replies and apologies for the other post being everywhere. I didn't think I could just keep adding in new things each time. So I'll be getting my JR programmer tomorrow so i'll update with the replacement of the nand. Now since NO ONE can think of any other reason the controller be desynching as the bad block wasn't even dealing with the controller I may just scrape the xbox and use the other. Now this is where I'm getting super confused. Whoever wired this console is using the Matrix chip but they wired in the POWER, GROUND, A,B, and F. I have never seen anyone install a chip like this. Was there any reason OR maybe why the controller isnt staying connected. Sorry for the simple questions I just cant find any hard information on any of it.

Well like Gavin said I made 3 different post so he explained the whole situation. I will def following instructions to the T this time by given advise, imma first see if reflashing the nand with the backup i have before the bad flash happened. Hopefully I'll have ability to have a picture back. If i do ill work on the controller disconnecting or use the hardware i have now and install it on this other xbox that works the controller.
I just never seen a mod chip installed like this. Usually people say dont install E and F just the rest on the chip so the CLK part on this chip wasnt wired/

First the reason the clk isnt connected is because the chip comes with a clock crystal, so it can be used on corona consoles that dont have a clk. The timing file takes advantage of this clock, so you dont have to install the wire, to the point on the board that is easy to burn off. As for the pads used, each chip maker marks the pads their own way, but the connections coming off of the chip on the glitch chip are programmed in the timing file, so while pad lettering might differ a bit, it is the same signal from the cpld chip on the glitcher.

Also, when you write back the backup you made, make sure you pull the power to the board, before attempting to boot the console after you write the nand. I have had nands corrupt if you dont do this.
