installed x3 chip and had the flashbios 3.0.1 screena nd tried to bios with cd but after installing the cd got a blank screen machine turns on and off 2 times and then no screen and red/green light at eject button and blue x light bank is off off off off

what version of xbox do you have and what bios version have you installed. Secondly, it is recommended your switches should be [on on off off off] on your initial flash.
all you did was reflash flashbios. You need to dl x3 hacked bios (version 1959, or 1914). Make sure to use bios for v1.0-1.5. Configure your switches to on on off off off and reboot to see if you have cromwell or not. If not press both power and eject buttons to get to backup bios but leave switches as on on off off off.

thanx a lot everybody and especially to nartac to helping me out.got everything figured out and working well now...
one more problem im running into i got everything working and than i put my new hard drive in it but then it opens ok with X3 chip mode but it gives me the error code 13 when i turn it on with microsoft...what this could be????
Error 13 is basically a dashboard launch failure/error, probably a missing or bad key, and I think the dashboard doesn't explain why. Make sure your hdd is locked and try downloading a new M$ dashboard(usual places)....hope this helps
