Hi all!!
I have decided to make this post because I have seen so many threads that ask for help improperly and I wanted to give a comparative scenario to this using auto repair fundamentals as a basis. I receive many calls from family and friends asking me to diagnose a problem over the phone and the answer is the same 90% of the time. "I need more info". This is because when you ask for help with a complex piece of equipment like a vehicle or Xbox360, information must be as concise and on point as possible with as much information as possible. A thread that says "JTAG not updating" or "CR4 no debug light" yet contain literally 10 words total is NOT helping anyone at all. This is like calling your mechanic friend/family and saying "Hey my car wont start what's wrong with it?" You cant possibly think that they will be able to tell you whats wrong with your vehicle with that alone. I could tell you that you have a bad battery, but what if you've never checked your oil? That would be a nice piece of information to know because you may have seized your engine. I would know the likelihood of that by looking at your maintenance LOG. TX programs automatically store these LOGS for you so there isn't any paper involved, any alternate programs needed, nothing. Its all right there. Use it. For those of you familiar with auto repair, this is like using DTC's and freeze frame data to diagnose a vehicle. Many of the folks here are some smart individuals who have much experience in the console modding/repair field. They recognize problems in these LOGS and can have an idea (or a few) off of seeing them. Another bonus is that its free support. They do it because they love doing it. Find me another place that offers PROFESSIONAL (many of these people do this for a living) diagnosis assistance in an officially licensed environment. Anyways, that's just my 2 cents.

Haha, I don't even need the phone with you. Heres the steps to fix it

1. Locate round metal cover on side of vehicle.
2. Lift said round metal cover.
3. Remove little black cap (known as "fuel cap" or something similar.)
4. Insert funnel in little round hole underneath "fuel cap"
5. Pour genuine Pillsbury sugar INTO funnel (try not to spill any, this is crucial)
6. Remove funnel.
7. Re insert "fuel cap"
8. Close round metal cover.
9. Attempt to start.

Just Kidding around. If youre serious, Im always up for giving it a try at least. But PM me and we can discuss it further as its pretty off topic lol.

I run into this sort of thing all the time in my line of work. 90% of the time, the customer and I are on two different playing fields when it comes to terminology. They might say "it's not communicating" and I'm thinking maybe something happened to the Ethernet port, serial port, antenna, etc. but come to find out they are talking about a wiring issue or similar. They don't know the difference between comms and control wires.

Some people just don't have the ability to comprehend things like this but still attempt it anyway. When something doesn't go right then they don't have the ability to translate the problem properly and provide crucial information.
