Might work for installing the chip, but my reservations of that device are:

• It uses spring wire for everything, one slip and your box might suddenly find itself providing 12V to a part that expects 5V ...
• All those pretty leds, but for an X3 chip, the pretty leds I want to see are the ones on the OUTSIDE of the case ... LAN and HDD
• TeamXodus - funny how they need to appeal to X3 owners ... does it NOT work well with their chip?
• Its available, but doesn't look as "finished" as the XAPT3R ... TeamXecuter need to get that device updated for the !.6 mobos
• SOLDERLESS ADAPTERS SUCK - just solder the damn pin header already

I have heard of some problems about the complete soderless adaptors. there is one kit out there that says it's completely soderless, but you need to soder one point. but i would just say grow some balls and soder the thing it's not that bad.
