A really important question

Hello!

Although this question probably has been answered on the past I didn't find the answer to it, I basically don't know if I can update my base Switch because it's asking me to do so and I don't know if I can get my switch banned or just make my SX OS incompatible,

If you update your switch through Nintendo servers whilst running any kind of custom firmware you risk getting a ban. You can update safely offline using choidujournx or create an emunand and then upgrade that firmware, again using Choidujournx whilst leaving your official firmware untouched.
