about installing avatar on my profile page

not sure if this is the right place to post this. but I'm trying to add my avatar to my profile page on this site but it won't upload. Im wondering if its because Im too new here and don't have that option. My file is the correct size. Any ideas on this ?

Same here... 150 x 150 and 48kb but keeps saying unable to save, tried .bmp .jpg and .tiff
