i dont have the ck3 to use but have everything else i need but when it comes to point 11 in this guide http://team-xecuter.com/forums/showthread.php?t=69805 how do i go about turning the drive on and off.(is it switching the probe off)

also i cant install the portio 64 driver.Keep getting an error message.Im on windows 8 if that matters

I would advise you get the right kit. There's good reason to use a CK3 to power the drive.
i have another problem well trying to install the drivers for usbpro v1 it says windows encountered an error The hash for the file is not in the specified folder.I have tried a few different downloads of the drivers but still the same.Any ideas

http://www.ixtreme.net/ixtreme-lt-l...lasher-0194-problems-drive-not-showing-2.html is this what i have to do on the above link.turn off digital signing.If so the guide is for windows 8 and 8.1 is setup a bit differently and also going the f8 route to turn it off doesnt work because of some annoying change at startup. I realise this isn't your problem but i assumed that the problem had been common on 8.1 so i thought you guys would have a link.
heres the solution to my problem.Thanks ....It is Win 8 Driver Signature Enforcement issue. Press (WinKey)+I....Chose PC Settings - Advanced startup - Restart now. On the blue screen select Troubleshoot, Advanced options, Startup Settings. Click Restart button. On reboot the blue screen with Startup settings appears. Choose option 7 - "Disable driver signature enforcement". After reboot just repeat the driver installation process. Windows Security dialog pops up with a "Windows can't verify publisher of this driver software". Choose Install the driver software anyway.
