Ok, I know I'm a noob to the forums, and I read all the "rules and regulations". I searched out and dug through one forum after another trying to find out more about the X3 USB Programming Controller feature listed as being on the X3 chip. I'm a first time modder and am COMPLETLY new to this. I get my mod chip Wednesday or so (already have the Maxtor 120GB drive, X3 1959 BIOS, and XBMC dated the first of February all ready to go once the chip is in). While I understood a lot of what's in the listed spec's for the X3 (after doign research and reading up), the one that caught my eye was the USB Programming Controller and how the places that give you the option when buying the chip to also pick up a USB adapter do not offer one when you buy the X3.

Now, as I said, I've searched and couldn't find anything to tell me what exactly the USB Programming Controller is. Can anyone do one of the following;

1) Point me to the thread that talks about it in a little deatail (I'm looking for more than "It has it"), or;

2) Explain what it is, why you would use it, and how to go about it? I didn't find any tut's talking about it either. Do you still need to install a USB jack or get an adapter? Or is there going to be an add-on (like the Pro Switch/LCD/etc)?

Again, sorry if this was already asked/answered.

1) Its to allow you to use USB devices with X3, I think.

2) I think you still need to install a usb jack

from what I understand, I think it is to allow you to use a usb keyboard and mouse on the built in usb controllers in the xbox. The xbox game pad controllers are actually usb. Check out the how to section in www.xbox-scene.com for how to add the usb plugs and what ones to get etc.

Also, from the sounds of it, the new bios(which i am impatiantly waiting for to come out any day now :) with have support for usb pen drives.

Maybe I'm talking about something completly different here. Somebody who knows for sure can straighten me out.
