About to Flash my X3ce - is this the correct way to do it.

XBOX 1.4 – Philips ROM - Xecuter3ce/Xapt3r

1. Make a BIOS DVD with X3 3294.bin (renamed to BIOS.bin) and a 100Mb Dummy file made with Dummy File Creator – burn both the BIOS.bin and DUMMY.bin to a DVD-R. Note: That BIOS is from AIDv3.0\BIOS\1mb\x3.3294.bin

2. Leave the DIP switches as they are and boot the XBOX – FlashBIOS 3.0.1 should appear. Set the DIP Switches to On - On - Off - Off – Off to enable first 1Mb (Banks 1,2,3,4) – flash via Disk with the DVD I made above. Is there anything there that will screw it up? Or have I got it right?

Is the backup on this chip separate from the 8xBanks? Or is it stored on one of the banks? Worst case scenario, I still manage to cock it up – if I was to boot the chip with banks 5,6,7,8 enabled am I right in thinking the FlashBIOS should appear again – I could then switch back to banks 1,2,3,4 and flash it again?

One last question – my box is already modded with a 160Gb Hard Drive – will the Hard Disk need to be redone with AID or will it still work in it’s current configuration? Or does the new modchip re-set everything when it is up and running?

cd make ok
2/ as long as your backup works power eject at same time then flash banks 1234 on on off off off
if you have a v1.6b then flashbios 3.0.1 will not work (backup bank)
flashbios 3.0.3 is on banks 5678 off on off off off that works with v1.6b xbox
but if you got flashbios on banks 1234 as well as backup power eject at same time your ok
by the way flashbios 3.0.3 will not work with v1.6 xbox you can work that out
the hard drive will be ok but you have to setup the bios
