is here a way to run another external switch, to turn the chip all the way off, and if so, which wires would I run the switch too, I have the wire install, already.

u can build something that will but it will use more money then it is worth and I contacted xecutor and he said that the x3 disable does completly turn off the chip, so you have no worries and I have been playing for 3weeks straight now with no problems. Now for xl banning it is not done bc of the mod now (if disabled) but only if your HD is not originial and your HD gets banned only not the eeprom anymore unless they just changed it and I have found all of this to be true thru the tests I have done.

I don't know who clearer the switch that comes with the X3 can be... DISABLE means it turns off the chip... All the way.. wjen you turn off your house lights do they stay half on or all the way off?

if you read the forums, there have been some problems with the issues of people getting banned playing xbox live, spcifically Halo 2, honestly I don't play on xbox Live I like playing comp games online better.

but I do build these things for people, and have had no problems currently, but if I ever do, I just wanted to know if there is a way to turn it completly off.

thats no reason for you to be an a**h**e, if you don't read the forums, and don't know what I'm talking about, don't burst out with your noob ass remarks.

There was a thread on this a couple of days ago, if you wanna do a manual switch, fit it on the D0 wire, it is the wire which forces the xbox to boot from the lpc, so cutting it stops the xbox noticing the chip is there :)

if i heard right through the rumors...the new security was the hard drive key. They are now checking to see something about the hard drive key. I heard...but dont' know...... if you right down your retail harddrive key....then use that on the new harddrive you put in....you will be good....

this is just one of the new things that they are doing.... they may be doing more....but if you had ALL retail parts and a X3 ...then all you would have to do was diable the chip....

anyways.... lets see M$ next move....

disc unread help!!!!

hi.
Recently my xbox has started saying disc unreadable, But it only does it on newly backed up games. all my oldder backed up games read fine.
Ive always used verbatiums and the same ripper/ burner
what do you think it could be?

Update your Firmware to LT providing you have a Lite-on or BenQ drive in it!

it was a bad batch of discs.
i bought a 25 disc of verbatuiums.
i got my firmware updated too.
