Adapting controller help.

I'm sure there's got to be a tutorial somewhere, I just can't find it.

I need to adapt the "HIP GEAR LM510 HIP SCREEN PAD FOR PS2, PSX & PS ONE - NTSC" controller to my xbox. The ideea is that, since the xbox is used a multimedia station, I don't want to carry a tv around, rather see the video output on the controller screen. It should be enough to give me navigation to playlists.

Any help much appreciated. Thanks!

You know you are going to get flamed for not searching right?

This might help: http://www.xbox-scene.com/tutorials.php?p=191|330|342|#342... look at the DIY cable building. From those specs and info you find on the Hip Top via www.google.com, you should be good to go. This isn't an odd mod at all, so there should be informaiton out there.

You do know they have one for the Xbox as well? The LM512?

I've only searched through this forum. As you can teel by my number of posts, I'm new to this, and this was the only board I knew about. Now I've bookmarked xbox-scene and I should be ready to go.

Thanks!

PS: No, I did not know there is one for xbox. I guess I got ripped off buying the one for ps2 than... but it's a nice project to do over the weekend.

FWIW - the PS2 ones seem to be about $5 cheaper than the Xbox ones. Biggest difference is that you can just plug in the Xbox version, and away you go --- no mods needed unless you want to install it into your Xbox.

Xbox-scene have some great mod projects. Take a serious look at some of the stuff they have in their tutorial section.
