The X3 board is very close to the Nvidia chip.

Is is a good idea to place a heatsink there, the price is rather cheap 3.00US
and it is probably good to dissipate some heat from that chip.

Would it interfere with the x3 board? The size of the heatsink is: 30mm x 30mm x 9.4mm

Similar to that

I have doubts whether adding a heatsink to that chip will actually do anything for you. The Xbox isn't overclocked, so all chips onboard should run within spec, and not need additional cooling. If temps are a concern, you might be better off upgrading the rear fan, or doing the 12V mod on it, and just pull warm air out of the box faster.

I'm pretty sure that the chip would interfere if you did the pin header install, but there really is no reason to put a heatsink on that chip. UNLESS your overclocking

Cool. Im gonna do that with my XBOX. I also like the Mod Inside pentium label he had on his previous case. :D
