I have a jasper board that I installed cool runner and after the install the xbox will not power on. Now the coolrunner has a red light so it has power but I'm not sure what I did wrong. Any suggestions would be very appreciated. And I also removed the coolrunner and still has no power.

Re: After CoolRunner No power!

it will more than likely be an issue with Point B - STNDY_CLK, its would appear that a lot of people are having trouble with this one. check the connections carefully, use magnifier to help, you have probably bridged a connection somewhere around there

Did you write to the NAND yet? If so, write your original image back and see if it comes back. Flashing a bad image (or ecc without +w) can give you a no power situation. Remember to pull power for 30sec after flashing back to reload the smc before trying to turn on again.

Yes, it's always better to rule out a potentially easy software problem before your go around prodding for a hardware fault.

I know i'm not the OP but as stated earlier I'm having the same issue. I tried restoring the oem nand and still not booting. I removed the Coolrunner from the equation and it still will not boot.

I know there is power, as the coolrunner red LED lights up so i've kind of hit a wall here.

Any more suggestions?

The coolrunner killed one slim I have, it just beeps and took out the HDMI port on another. I suspect it is shorting out and or effecting the hana in some terrible way. Additionally restoring to default nand and removing the coolrunner does not fix the problem.

CoolRunner has only worked on 2 Falcons I did.

Waiting for capacitors to see if Jaspers will work. So far 3/3 6751 don't boot with donor nand no matter what program I use or if I create it manually with python.

how can a board kill only your specific device
its not a suicide bombing crow
i bet its user error nothing to do with the TX coolrunner i wish people would stop blaming this bit of kit.
makes me laugh the teams go through pretty mad testing and sacrifice alot of gear to bring us a safe correctly working product then edward scissor hands wonders why it doesnt work:facepalm:

Lol nicely put. Been buying tx products for years and never had a single problem. People need to get pros to install these boards to the micro points on the Xbox.

Lets not deviate from the OP question/issue (same as I have) I'm not blaming TX products, just looking for some support, as this is a support board.

Fair point. I would go back to the beginning. Unsolder all the points and check u haven't bridged anything. I had a few hiccups with the rgh first time. A small bit of solder was shorting against my av port. Check the power brick light is not going red when u plug it in. If it is then something is shorting. Take some macro pics of your install and post them so other experienced modders can have a look at your soldering and see if they notice anything. I did come across one that wouldn't power on after flashing the stock or ggbuild image. Turned out my lpt cable was too long and not writing properly.

Nowt wrong with the product.

Almost ALWAYS soldering. I managed to kill a Jasper when I was playing around with wire position and lengths. It did go to Silicone heaven though :)

It's not soldering, that I am good with. Not sure what happened, maybe a fluke but very odd that the HDMI port just gives out on a perfectly working Slim after the CoolRunner was installed.

The dead Slim board may not be dead, need to investigate that further. I got it the same day I installed the CR, maybe it was just a dud.

CoolRunner works great on Falcons though!

Ok, i used a much shorter USB cable 5" from a creative zen and that seemd to do the trick.. I was able to boot to Xell and get the CPU key. I used Jtag tool to create and write the bin and now im stuck at xell searching for xenon.elf and vmlinux on usb/dvd, i guess im making some progress.. I guess i have to search out hte forums to figure out the rest.

Thanks for the help!
