I would also like to add that I have installed around 18 TX Cool runners now and the only issues I have encounted is the overheating of a resistor next to hana chip and destroyed it. (my fault and was fixed by Martin C:))

There has been nothing wrong with the TX cool runners! 99% of all problems at present is down to poor soldering skills

Ok, i used a much shorter USB cable 5" from a creative zen and that seemd to do the trick.. I was able to boot to Xell and get the CPU key. I used Jtag tool to create and write the bin and now im stuck at xell searching for xenon.elf and vmlinux on usb/dvd, i guess im making some progress.. I guess i have to search out hte forums to figure out the rest.

Thanks for the help!
You might have more control over the process if you use multi builder 0.3. Multi builder 0.3 includes rawflash (xenon.elf) in the data folder, and a note how to use it.

If anyone wants to put their original NAND back on the console use nandpro with the -w16 option, not +w16.

The coolrunner killed one slim I have, it just beeps and took out the HDMI port on another. I suspect it is shorting out and or effecting the hana in some terrible way. Additionally restoring to default nand and removing the coolrunner does not fix the problem.

CoolRunner has only worked on 2 Falcons I did.

Waiting for capacitors to see if Jaspers will work. So far 3/3 6751 don't boot with donor nand no matter what program I use or if I create it manually with python.
I really tried not replying to this but with respect you are talking total sh*t.

The CoolRunner works perfectly. The error in the equation is you.

Hey guys I am little late in joining this thread. I was experiencing the same problem last night. I know I followed the tutorial to a tee when working with the firmware and I triple checked everything. When I would plug the console up the coolrunner chip would light up red but the console would not turn on. So rather than get frustrated and screw the console up more I headed to bed.

Did a search this morning on the problem and found this thread. I saw where someone posted that not having the STBY_CLK orange wire properly soldered would cause this. I remembered that when I did get the wire soldered on there I accidentally moved the wire breaking the connection. I thought no big deal and soldered it back on. So I decided to check the continuity from the resistor to the end of the circuit. Damn I broke the connection.

It didnt take much to do that so anyone having this problem check that first. Here is how I ended up fixing the connection....... boots right up :)

Well i would guess that they are all install problems. The one i orginally posted this thread about after some test I realized I had lifted a trace from the board at point B. Now after I fixed the trace the system was working fine. But instead of wiring the chip strait to point B I just cleaned the trace with a fiber pen and wired it there. I was much easier not to bridge a connection that way.
