After Installing 2.6CE led flashing on power button...

Hi,

After installing the xecuter 2.6ce, the xbox tries to boot and turns off 3 times, on the third time, the power led blinks between green and red. What gives. when the switch is turned off, the xbox works fine, when it's turned on, then no video...


Please help!

Newbie with exact same problem

Hi All,

I have the exact same problem.

I have installed the 2.6ce with solderless adapter on both an xbox 1.0 and an xbox 1.2 and I get the exact same problem.

when the chip is disabled, it boots up to normal xbox green screen.
when the chip is enabled, I get the 3 power attempts and blank screen.

BUT, when I have the D0 disconnected, it turns on fine with normal xbox green screen...so I am assuming it is something with the D0. ALSO, if I connect the mod chip and the D0 wire and I get the 3 boot attempts...if I disconnect the D0 wire after the first try...it boots fine on next attemp to the normal xbox screen.

PLEASE HELP...I am very new at this and have spent many hours on it.

All that D0 does is allow the mod chip to be enabled. With D0 disconnected your Xbox will *never* boot off the chip... and so you will also never have a problem unless you've really goofed your box.

What you guys are getting is a FRAG. (Flashing Red And Green) Check that your connections to the LPC are secure. If you are solderless clean the contacts of the LPC holes with a pencil eraser. If you had soldered check that the solder joints are good. Look for burned out/broken traces. Make sure the plugs of the chip to switch cable are securely connected and fully seated.
