(After RGH) avatar(DLC) changed. exclamations on 14699. Safe for connecting Live?

My Question was ;
Is it safe to connect Xbox Live with my RGH 14699 into Live, just for updating newly added avatars?

The answer is ;
you can't connect a RGH console to live...it's an instant ban

:rolleyes2:But still cannot use those added DLC avatars with exclamations on the dash 14699.

Basic Info;
  • 360 slim 250gb
  • Updated dash to 14699 before the RGH procedures. So it's already 14699 RGH.
  • Launcher v2.27, contpatch=false. FSD v2.2.725
  • RGH working fine. Time to boot right into the FSD takes from instant to 1min.
  • Slim 0225 drive CFW v2.0
  • GOD, Extracted ISO games from backups working fine.
  • Recently added avatars using 'Xbox Live Profile's Xuid'
  • Using Modio, Le Fluppie**, Yaris Swap, hex editor etc.
  • Doing only offline games.
  • Sent avatar files into the right folders(content/00**00/**/090**00/
  • original xbox avatars working fine, but new avatras have exclamations.
  • When on customize avatar, Shows 'avatar has changed. ....To update, connect Live' message.

I'm not sure if the above is good enough info for you experts to advice me the solution. If it's not, forgive me.

I searched several forums and tried for a week till an hour ago.
:D Couldn't find the answer so I rely on your advice for my mental peace.

As I mentioned, I just see exclamations on those newly added avatars(default ones working fine). And the screen says '** changed, to update, connect xbox live'.

Is it safe to connect Xbox Live with my RGH 14699 into Live, just for updating newly added avatars?

Run the official 14699 System Update from USB, that will install the needed avatar data (don't worry, it won't affect the glitch in any way ;)).

Let me try updating using usb method.
Before I try it again,
Actually, I tried '$systemupdate', '$$ystemupdate', '$$ystemUpdate' with FAT32 USB stick. update files downloaded from MS Xbox.com.
When I boot into NXE, nothing happened.

Let me try again, and get back to you in minutes(Will use $$ytemUpdate folder).:D

Unfortunately, my nxe(ver. 14699) doesn't recognize usb update(same ver.14699).

Finally, I was to connect to Live to update added avatars with exclamations, but I can't get connected.(internal network testing fine, but no passing the internet test)--FTP to xbox works when it's on FSD but not on NXE. My laptop on the same network connected to internet.

Changed family settings, unlocked mac filtering and password, rebooted, changed launch.ini like below. Now FSD freezes. Maybe have to change it to prior .ini setting to make it work.

Connect the USB stick (with the $SystemUpdate folder on it's root) to the console and then power it on, you should then get a prompt to update which you need to accept.

Before I do the RGH procedures, I already had updated my dash([email protected]@) to official 14699. My default avatars are working fine but those newly added avatars doesn't show up.

Whenever I go to the 'customize avatar', in the beginning screen, it says ' Avatar has changed. $#@[email protected] to update, connect to xbox live '. and then, you can try your default avatar items but those added avatars shows up with exclamations and can't even try putting them on.

:D My question is whether it is safe to connect to xbox live for updating avatars or not. :D

By the way, about the dashboard,
It makes sense, right?
Official 14699 nxe doesn't consider the same version 14699 in the usb as an update.

Are your 'added DLC avatars' working fine on the dash 14699?
I haven't tried your link about updating dashboard to official 14699 since I already have it running.

As you know, I already had 14699 dash before trying RGH. So my default 14699 avatars working fine. Only those 'added DLC avatars' are showing up blank with exclamations on it. On the avatar screen, I can see default avatars first from the left side and then those exclamation avatars on the far right side.

I had searched several forums including TeamXecuter and found several methods and tried them with different jtag apps. It seems they work with the previous dashboards like 13146, 13599. But not with 14699.

Someone says those avatars with exclamations means those avatar files are not new.
