why is this happening? aren't i supposed to get some sort of menu for chip?

The same thing just happened to me. I was mod'ing my friend's xbox and he had the same DVD drive as i did, so i used the same disc that i used to flash my chip. The chip flashed just fine, but then rebooted back to the standard xbox screen.

Anyone know what's going on?

How long are you holding down the xbox start button? Is the X3 light on the front red or blue? If you hold down the start button for a few seconds, that disables the mod chip (red light). But if you press the start button fast, it starts the xbox with mod enabled (blue light). Does the Xecutor Rox My Box logo come up as it is starting? Are the front switches in the proper position?

well what bios did you flash with? if you flashed with an x2 bios thats correct now you just need a dash board

ok, i press the button quickly. the light turns blue than the box shuts off. it kinda cycles that a bit, and eventually shows me the 'rox my box' but then the light turns purple and i get the main menu. i flashed with x3 1957, and how do i get to the point of puting a dashboard on there? i cant eve ftp this f**king thing.
