Hi guys,

I updated to the latest dashboard without reflashing back to the stock firmware (it was running LT 3.0) (I realise this was a stupid mistake). My original games still work fine but the backups of the same game won't.

I've connected it back up to the PC and this is what I have:



Any ideas?

For some reason I cannot see what you have listed below "I've connected it back up to the PC and this is what I have:"

Are your discs burned on Verbatim discs using an iHAS drive with burner max firmware flashed to the drive? Sounds like you have not burned your discs with the correct method and you are using truncated backups.

The discs were all working before this update though.

I use an Ihas burner flashed with burnermax firmware. I also use Verbatim mk003s :)

Just having a go with it now, my CK3 lite in line power button doesn't seem to work anymore....

Do I need to go through all the DVD key extraction again if I already have my key or can I skip those steps?

Cheers for the help guys, it's all been reflashed. I'll rebuilt it up tomorrow and let you know how it goes.

urm did i miss something?
he hasn't said its fixed yet

I would have thought if updating without reverting to stock was going to cause major problems we would have had a lot of reports by now
even though it must have been said over a thousand times on here that you always revert to stock before updating im sure loads cant be arsed and just do it
just like once the dvd drives out how many disconnect the laser cable just incase?

Hi again!

Yeah, it's all been rebuilt up and I've just tried MW3 and it worked first time!

It's strange to see nobody else posting with the same issue, maybe they were all a bit wiser than me and remembered to flash to stock, who knows! Ah well, the good thing is it all works!

glad you fixed, my brother updated straight to the latest with LT+3.0 on it and played his games without problem after!

What actually happened is you where on pre 13146 and when you update to any dash above this you're drive was flashed to stock 0251 and all Liteon drives after this dash will be fw 0251

That's why only the originals were working before you flashed it again:wink:
