GENERAL All 5s drives

sorry for the noob post I looked every where but cant find the answer does all 5s drives need to be replaced after i rgh to get the dvd key and then remove
it or can i write cfw to the stock drive like the 4s drives.. If i can't then rgh all the way would be best way correct

You can't unlock them to write, so you would have to get a replacement PCB or rgh if you're looking to keep your retail discs safe and play off backups (from hdd).
